Great food. Even better prices. There was a live band. (A bit too loud, perhaps I'm getting old) Definitely recommend
I went to this place a few days ago and i absolutely loved it! We got mozzerella sticks (DELICIOUS),the tenderloin and curly fries, and the fish po boi sandwhich. The prices were amazing, VERY cheap compared to other places (5.50 for mozz sticks, most places are 7+) my only complaints were the tenderloin was a little bland but once you added salt and pepper (that they provided for you on the table), it was perfect. And the fish slightly tasted like the fryer, but that sometimes happens, no big deal! I highly reccomend, the people are kind, the food is homecooked, its a really nice place. I personally will not understand any nasty reviews for this place ????♀️
I've recently become aware of Christine's Firehouse in NKC. Good food and GREAT service to the sound of live music. I had the KING of all tenderloin sandwiches ($14) that will feed 4. Definitely adding CF to my list of 'Spots'.
I get to the Mid-west a couple times a year and I always try to find a breaded pork tenderloin. Christine's Firehouse was an awesome choice. The meat was tender, the breading was crispy, the serving was huge and plentiful. On top of that there was live music. A bluesy jazz kind of vibe. If you're in Kansas City take a few minutes go check it out it is well worth the trip.
This was the best pork tenderloin I've had in KC! I loved the horsey sauce. It was funny I could literally hear them banging in the kitchen for my fresh tenderloin and they brought out boxes with my silverware. They have done this a time or two lol the bartender waiting on our table could tell I hadn't been there and was super helpful!
I’ve only had the tenderloin and Philly cheesesteak sandwich which I liked both but that tenderloin is what I really go for. It’s massive. Easy 2 meals min or 2 people. It’s really good. The service has always been top notch. I’ve had several servers and all were on the ball. Never an empty drink and all friendly. Just ate there tonight and as always left happy. Was a live band setting up but I didn’t have time to stay but I’d like to one night. I highly recommend visiting. If you like a tenderloin. I even more so recommend trying that. You won’t be disappointed.
I absolutely LOVE the Thursday night Blues Jams! Everyone who played was amazing, too. It was easy to talk to people and make new friends, the staff was friendly, and my beer was more affordable than other bars that I've patronized. The Sunday Blues Jams are great as well.
Last night I was at the Firehouse. Sunday night is Jam night and the music was outstanding. Split a Ruben and beer fires it was good and reasonable. I highly recommend it! You won't be sorry.
OK, I will admit I went here for the first time because my original target lunch destination was PACKED. But what a nice surprise! Nice menu, cool vibe, happy bartender. The food was tasty and came out fast. if you are looking for a quick bite in NKC, or maybe a little happy hour dive action, this is the place. Very fun. I'll do it again. It is much better being flexible!!
